The Affiliate Marketing Model – 3 Reasons People Fail Miserably at Internet Business Sales

The affiliate marketing model has been the choice of thousands upon thousands of people in the past few years, yet so very many have failed! The truth is that most of these people will never ever earn real money in internet business sales. Why should this be? After all, no one intends to fail. So many who fail would succeed if they made the right choices. Sadly, too many people make poor choices and so are the cause of their own failure. Here I will look at three powerful reasons why so many fail so miserably.

1. One huge reason people fail

One huge reason for failure is that many people are not actually looking to make money! "How can that be?", You may ask. "Is not everyone looking to make money?" I'm afraid you heard me right! The affiliate marketing model attracts many, many people who do not actually want to make money. They want to HAVE money. There is a difference, as we shall see.

I know a few folks who were born into money. They HAVE money, without having had to earn it. You'd think they were lucky, but often they're not. Relieved of the pressure to earn money, some of my well off friends do not know what to do with themselves, and so become a little lost, in my view.

But too many of us want the results that HAVING money brings without the hassle of perception it. And so we lay ourselves open to exploitation by every online scammer out there who says he can help us be millionsaires with minimum investment and no work. This not what internet business sales are all about. The affiliate marketing model delivers value to the customer AND to ours, and is not about exploiting anyone.

2. The second reason people fail

Many people do not know what it takes to succeed online. They may have succeeded at many things in life: their careers, at amateur athletics, or at raising families. But few of us know about making money online. Earning real money online calls for skills which are new to the vast majority. The internet is still very new, and most people do not "get" how money is made in this new medium.

3. But the BIGGEST reason people fail is …

They think it is far more complicated than it really is! So many people imagine that making money on the web is down to technical skill. My friends, that is just not true. There are plenty of people with only very basic tech skills who are brilliant at internet business sales.

How do they do it? They concentrate on what they are good at, and leave the rest to others. They are not good at web building, SEO, managing domains, or any of that dull stuff. They EXCEL at one thing: they find out what people want, and then give it to them. Sounds kind of familiar, does not it? That's the key behind every business success story: delivering what people want. Satisfying that want may involve marketing a third party product as an affiliate, or creating something fresh to meet the demand. Many marketers have learned to do both. You can too.
